Initially released as a single through AlexZone's SoundCloud page on April 28th, 2016, it was subsequently re-released on June 11th of the same year to Ayesha's "pussysugar" account, as part of her album Barely Legal. However, this track and "Political Interlude" were later removed from her profile for unknown reasons.[1]
Coinciding with the initial SoundCloud release of "Where You At", Alex shared a photo via Twitter on the same day. The image showcased a lyric sheet containing alternate lyrics, accompanied by the caption: "this is what it looks like to record an @AyeshaErotica track".[1]
2023[]
On October 7th, 2023, over seven years after it's initial release, a fan asked Ayesha why "Where You At" along with the song "Political Interlude" were deleted from the album. She remarked:
"hey vinnie, here's my answer to your question: the reason i deleted them was because they were mid and not my best work, nor were either song reflective of the sound that album was going for. i feel terribly if this bothers you, and hope to one day redeem myself"[2]
