On October 17^th, 2023, Ayesha announced the song was going to be reworked on with a collaboration and it has been confirmed to be featured on Ayesha's upcoming mixtape, I Dream of Zuzie.

On October 17^th, 2023, a fan asked Ayesha about reworking an old song. She replied:

"mhm, i'mma rework my older song called "used" and it's gonna be a collaboration"

On December 17^th, 2023, after a fan asked about the rework, Ayesha shared some more information about the song's reworked theme. She replied:

"no that song is done. the only reason im reworking used is because i wanna do a flip where i'm the user, theres no reworking anything else as far as me concerned :3"
