Lil Oiran claimed the song was about him "singing to her and about her, and her singing to him and about him." His verse, which is currently not available online in full, is apparently a response to Ayesha’s verse.[1]
Lil Oiran would share a short snippet of his verse on Instagram on September 24th, 2018, revealing that the song was almost finished and set to be released soon.[1]

On October 17th, 2023, Ayesha was asked about the song. She replied: "that song was a feature i did for someone i think, i really wanted to try singing no tuning, it's aight i guess!".[3]
During a live from January 5th, 2024, Ayesha was asked about the song's backstory. She answered: "Someone asked me to do a feature, and so I sent them a feature over the beat they sent me to do a feature on."[4]
