It was originally written for her 2016 debut album, BIG JUICY, and later repurposed to be a bonus track on the original 2018 version of horny.4u, before being scrapped along with the album.
Background[]
On August 7th, 2018, Ayesha confirmed that the song was going to be a bonus track on horny.4u on Twitter. The album and song were scrapped after Ayesha's retirement in late 2018. [1]
On November 8th, 2023, a fan asked if she remembered the song. Ayesha confirmed that she wrote the song but it was never recorded.[2]
On February 26th, 2024, Ayesha announced the song would be re-released and featured as a track on the 2024 version of her album, horny.4u: "yeah was working on zuperpuss and anna nicole today."[3]
On March 6th, Ayesha shared a snippet of the song via Instagram stories, possibly to relieve fans that the album was still coming soon, even if delayed. The day after, Ayesha shared another snippet of the song via stories with a pre-save link, confirming the song would be released as a single.[4][5]
The single was released to YouTube Music and TIDAL on March 9th, and onto Spotify and Deezer on March 11th.[6]
Theme[]
The first verse critiques societal double standards and emphasizes the idea of financial independence for women. The lyrics highlight the struggles faced by women who may conform to beauty standards yet still face exploitation and disrespect. Ayesha encourages women to take control of their own lives and bodies, rejecting conformity and embracing empowerment.[7]
The second verse continues to challenge norms by addressing taboo subjects like sex work and unconventional sexual preferences. Ayesha rejects the idea of conforming to societal expectations of morality or respectability, instead embracing her sexuality and making her own choices without seeking approval from others.[7]
The references to shooting a woman in the face and living dangerously can be seen as symbolic of defying expectations, choosing to live life on her terms rather than conforming to a prescribed path.[7]
