"Political Interlude" (erroneously known as "Political Interlube") is a song by Ayesha Erotica. It was the eleventh track on her sophomore album, Barely Legal, before being removed from the album.[1][2]

On October 7th, 2023, over seven years after its initial release, a fan asked Ayesha why "Political Interlude" along with the song "Where You At" were deleted from the album. She explained:[2]
"hey vinnie, here's my answer to your question: the reason i deleted them was because they were mid and not my best work, nor were either song reflective of the sound that album was going for. i feel terribly if this bothers you, and hope to one day redeem myself"
Theme[]
Thematically and sonically, "Political Interlude" is quite different to the rest of the album. With a focus on the negative effects of governmental activities, media manipulation, and the priority of profits over the well-being of people, the lyrics appear to be a critique of societal and political issues. [1]
The song is made even more urgent and intense by the repeating of several lyrics which express attention for the situation of the country (presumably the United States, where Ayesha was born and located at the time of its release).[1]
