Fresh Meat is the scrapped fourth studio album recorded, written, and produced by American singer-songwriter Ayesha Erotica. It was intended to be released independently through SoundCloud, Bandcamp and other digital platforms on October 25th, 2017.[1]
Background[]
Announcement[]
Production for this album began in late 2016, shortly after the shelving of her long-awaited third studio album, Gangbang. Around December 2nd 2016, the single "Expensive" was released via SoundCloud, with the description of the song confirming a new album was in fact in the works.[1] On April 28th, 2017, the lead single and title track "Fresh Meat" was released.[1]
Ayesha later confirmed via Twitter that the single would receive an iTunes release on May 18th, followed by a music video in June, though neither ever occurred.[1] Several months later, the follow-up single "Literal Legend" was debuted with similar promises of an iTunes release and music video in the song's description, alongside additional confirmations such as a set October 25th album release, as well as physical CD's for purchase, however, this never came to be.[1]
Cancellation[]
By November 2017, Fresh Meat was scrapped for unknown reasons. After the release of her EP, www.F*ckMe.com within the same month, Ayesha announced she'd be taking a temporary leave from releasing music.[1]
On March 31st, 2018, an unfinished version of "Delicious" was posted to her SoundCloud page, revealing that it was an unfinished demo from her scrapped album and that she may post more tracks intended for the project. Due to the song's popularity, it was later reworked and announced to be a bonus track on her 2018 project, horny.4u, though the album was later shelved as well.[1]
2024[]
On March 28th, 2024, suddenly, all of her albums, including an unofficial version of Fresh Meat, were uploaded to her official Spotify account.
On March 21st, her manager Petey Plastic confirmed in a livestream that all the music uploaded is official, now under Ayesha's copyright, streaming the songs will now allow Ayesha to earn money from them.[2]
