Barely Legal (cover-art stylized in all lowercase as barely legal.)[1] is the sophomore album recorded, written, and produced by Ayesha Erotica. It was released independently through digital download on SoundCloud and Bandcamp on June 11th, 2016.[2]

Background[]

Description[]

The original description of the album read:[2]

@/ayeshaerotica all lyrics written and performed by ayesha erotica executive producer: Alex Baily @/alexzone *back to crack beat original song is "calle ocho" by miami bass warriors."
Ayesha Erotica, 2016

Announcement & Release[]

The album was set to release on June 8th, 2016. However, due to unknown reasons, it was delayed and released on June 11th, 2016.[2]

The initial release of Barely Legal included at least twelve tracks and was arranged in alphabetical order, with the exception of "Pussy". However— following this, "Political Interlude" and "Where You At" were later removed from the album for not fitting with the album's sound. As a result, the tracklist was revised, and the order of the remaining tracks was shuffled.[2]

2023[]

On October 7th, 2023 Ayesha did a QNA on Twitter, where she was asked why "Political Interlude" and "Where You At?" were removed from the record. She replied:[3]

hey vinnie, here's my answer to your question: the reason i deleted them was because they were mid and not my best work, nor were either song reflective of the sound that album was going for. i feel terribly if this bothers you, and hope to one day redeem myself"
Ayesha Erotica, 2023

2024[]

The album was officially re-released into Ayesha's Spotify account on March 28th, 2024 with a new tracklist, including the previously cut songs, "Political Interlude" and "Where You At" and with a inclusion of the Playtime version of the song "Milky", but with the removal of the songs "Spank It" and "Coked the Fuck Up", but the tracklist will be fixed soon with the most accurate tracklist. [4]

In March 21st, her manager Petey Plastic confirmed in a livestream that all the music uploaded is official, now under Ayesha's copyright, streaming the songs will now allow Ayesha to earn money from them.[5]
